Florence grew up in London, moved to New York and created national advertising campaigns at agencies like J. Walter Thompson, Deutsch and BBDO. Starwood Hotels, Bass Ale, Merrill Lynch, Bayer, J&J and others have benefited from her nuanced storytelling and distinctive art direction.
She loves finding a narrative for brands, people and nonprofits, whether it’s a short film, a video, a website or a PowerPoint deck. Her recent projects include RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network), Lafayette 148 New York, Right There (Parts 1 and 2), ViroCell Biologics, Hamptons Whodunit as well as Unite for Health.
Florence met Elvis in 2019. His lifelong commitment to mothers and children in his rural Cameroon homeland so resonated, and his leadership so inspired her, she decided to help him fulfill his mission.

Rachel is passionate about changing healthcare and making the world a better place. She built deep expertise in life sciences and healthcare as a consultant, strategist, entrepreneur, operator, and advisor. She provides strategic growth and value-added investment advisory services to emerging companies and capital investors.
She honed her skills at Deloitte, serving top-tier global companies such as Novartis, Pfizer, and GSK. She then founded Jubel Health to empower women on their path to pregnancy and parenthood to have better outcomes with a personalized, tech-enabled education and coaching platform.
Through Unite for Health, Rachel can continue to combat the worst of maternal outcomes and mortality in Africa. She believes helping moms and babies stay healthy means a healthier and happier humanity.

Michael Durham is a CEO, Founder, and Global Consultant to executives of private companies and private equity firms. In a career driven by his entrepreneurial appetite, Michael earned a reputation as an organizational and transformative leader. He has held executive leadership positions with Global Textile Alliance, Burlington Technologies, Inc., Tietex International, Ltd., Burlington Industries, Inc., and The Procter & Gamble Company.
His background includes an engineering degree from N.C. State University and an MBA from The Harvard Business School.
Michael was inspired beyond the normal business of business during his first meeting with Elvis. He looks forward to learning more and assisting wherever possible in the humanitarian efforts of Unite for Health.
ben darche, MPH, PhD
Public and Infrastructure Finance Consultant, with Experience in Maternal Health in Underserved Communities
Ben has 35 years of experience in international development work. After graduating with a BS from Michigan State University, he volunteered with a faith-based organization and other non-government organizations to organize, finance and deliver maternal and child health programs to underserved families in rural areas in Bolivia and Guatemala. This led him to an MPH and PhD’s in public health and development planning from UCLA.
Ben worked with a US California government agency and private financial firm that advised state and local governments to issue bonds in the US municipal bond market. The bonds funded water, sewer, transport, power, and other essential services. He became an independent consultant to return to his passion and assist poor countries around the world to finance infrastructure and public services.
Over the past 30 years, Ben has advised the World Bank and other international multi, bilateral development banks, the private sector and organizations to finance country-wide and local water, transport, health, and other essential services in 50 developing countries in Asia, Latin America, and Africa.
Ben shares Elvis’ passion to improve the physical and material well-being of rural mothers and children in developing countries, inspired by his own volunteer work in the Bolivian jungle many years earlier.
Gana FOFANG
Independent Consultant
Gana is a diplomat and economist with over 25 years of service in the United Nations in various capacities. He has worked on peace-building and socioeconomic development as a Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General, UN Resident Coordinator and UN Development Programme Representative in Africa and S.E. Asia. He has also managed programmes and advised on Trade, Food Security, Public Sector Reform and Environment.
Gana believes that Unite for Health helps address major critical gaps in service provision in vulnerable communities in Cameroon and looks forward to supporting this unique initiative.

Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, Hematology and Oncology, Weill Cornell Medicine

Nausheen is a hematology and oncology attending physician in New York City, specializing in genitourinary cancers. She also has a strong interest in end of life and palliative care. She is focused on how to improve the quality of life for patients, in whatever context that may be. She is also passionate about the arts and how they can add to the patient experience. She’s a dancer, piano player, and avid indoor bicyclist.
Nausheen is proud to work with Unite for Health to develop strategies to structure the healthcare delivery in its Maternal Mini-clinics and outreach campaigns.
JOEL MANGAN
Business Development Executive
Joel is a business leader who has worked in Europe, Africa and the US. Joel helps companies accelerate innovation and digital transformation through strategic partnerships with AI, Cloud and Quantum technology. Formerly at IBM Research, Joel spent the first 15 years of his career leading clients through technology led initiatives for business growth.
Joel was also at the IBM Foundation where he led initiatives to tackle health disparities in emerging health systems by bringing in new technology, specialized partnerships and reducing the price of cancer therapies, and also led a global education innovation program for IBM that integrates workplace experience into education to prepare students for the future of work in the digital economy.
As a Cameroonian, Joel is excited by the full system vision of Unite for Health, from care delivery to research, to transform healthcare in Cameroon.
KENJI OBADIA MFUH, PhD., HCLD, MLS (ASCP)
Virology Lab Supervisor, Stanford Medicine
Kenji currently coordinates Covid-19 and other viral disease testing for Stanford Healthcare and has eleven years of clinical and research lab experience in the U.S., Cameroon, and Dubai. He has published multiple papers, including a study on the use of saliva in diagnosing malaria and profiling infectious etiologies of febrile illnesses in Cameroon. He won the Global Infectious Disease Scholarship from the National Institute of Health U.S.A., and the Alicate Award for outstanding contributions to Infectious Disease.
Kenji met Elvis in high school, and he was involved in creating the first Unite for Health micro-clinic. Kenji believes that Unite for Health stands at a unique position to bring high quality and affordable primary healthcare to Cameroonians.
MABINGUE NGOM
Globally Recognized Leader in Public Health & International Development
After a distinguished career at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Planning of Senegal and his role as Program Advisor for IPPF (International Planned Parenthood Federation) in the Africa region, Mabingue co-founded the Global Fund to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
From 2008 to 2015, he served as Program Director at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and then was appointed UNFPA’s Regional Director for West and Central Africa. There he provided strategic leadership to 23 countries, including Cameroon, and architected key regional initiatives.
Most recently, Mabingue served as Senior Advisor to the UNFPA Executive Director and Director of the UNFPA Office to the African Union and UN Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa.
He is a recipient of the African Peace Award and the Global Humanitarian Award, among other awards. He is also a published author and has been named one of the most influential Africans.
Mabingue’s wealth of experience and deep understanding of maternal health and development challenges is an invaluable asset for Unite for Health, an organization dedicated to promoting maternal health in remote areas.

For the past 35 years, Tucker has been bringing the spirit and craft from traditional artisans to contemporary life by creating sustainable furniture that is both modern and timeless. He is a firm believer that education, love and care within a community shape a sustainable future.
For 30 years Tucker has been collaborating with master wood carvers in Cameroon and knows firsthand the vital service provided by Unite for Health.

Monica is an experienced healthcare strategist who has had the pleasure to develop capacity abroad by leveraging international standards and education in healthcare. In the past, she has worked in nonprofit development around H.I.V./AIDS in New York City and business development for Johns Hopkins International in Singapore.
She has been integral to a number of global initiatives for New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medicine, specifically she was the Project Manager for a greenfield hospital development project in Asia.
Monica is excited to partner with Unite for Health to improve operations and develop a strategy to grow the Maternal Mini-clinic model to support and serve a wider population in Cameroon and Africa.
RENITA WILKES, MSN, RN
Clinical Nurse Leader, Laudio & former Perinatal & Gynecology Quality Nurse Specialist, Lenox Hill Hospital
Renita is a women’s health nurse leader with a decade of clinical and strategic experience focused on improving maternal health outcomes and advancing health equity. Her career began in both hospital inpatient and ambulatory high risk care settings, where she developed a deep understanding of the challenges women face in accessing quality, respectful care – particularly in underserved communities.
Driven by a commitment to systemic change, Renita expanded her impact through work in the health technology sector, including at a women’s health-focused medical device startup. There, she led efforts in go-to-market strategy, business development, and product implementation – always centered on improving the safety and dignity of childbirth. Today, she works with a medical technology platform that elevates the voices of healthcare leaders to drive innovation and improve care delivery at scale.
Renita’s work is rooted in the belief that every woman, no matter where she lives, deserves access to safe and affordable healthcare. As a Unite for Health board member, she brings a holistic, data-driven perspective, and a passion for maternal and child health equity.
