Unite for Health Foundation welcomes its first U.S Volunteer from California to Cameroon
We are glad to announce the arrival of our first U.S Volunteer from California to Cameroon. Colleen Chicoine is a registered nurse professional with over 18 years of experience. She has a rich experience in midwifery maternal & child health.
During her stay, she will not only provide health care to the women and population of Eloumden and its environs but will also organize training sessions to exchange knowledge and skills with the team at Unite For Health Foundation to share best practices.
To grace her visit, UHF has organized a health campaign for pregnant women and women of reproductive age in this community. A free screening for breast cancer, cervical cancer, free ANC services and free iron supplements to pregnant women plus a 50% reduction to the cost of all laboratory test for pregnant women.
We will stop at nothing in our effort to improve access to health care in under-served communities.
Thank you NGOabroad for making this visit possible.
